Crazy for Aprons, Free Sentiments & Freebie Links!!!

I was browsing through some of my craft magazines and I came across Papercraft Inspirations Issue 96 which featured ideas for apron cards. Got me inspired so I made some Hobby Apron Cards. You can download the Apron template here. From the template, I made mine a little different, instead of the Side Fold, I made mine Top Fold. Written also some faux stitchings on the pocket.
Due to my limited time, I'll be posting one apron per post including the links and a free sentiment. Here's the first one:

SSD's Carrie Sassy and Free Sentiments

It's the 4th and Final Round of the Sassy in the City Relay celebrating the 700 members at Paper Craft Planet-Sassy Studio Designs! And the 4th image is none other than the high fashionista Carrie Sassy! Love that volume of gorgeous curls! The theme for this challenge is to create a project with a New York or Paris inspiration-the 2 cities where Carrie has lived.
I chose a Paris-themed card for Carrie. The French script background paper and the rose designed paper -pieced dress I used are from the Perfect Papers set of Pink Petticoat. The second background paper on top of the french script is a French Shabby paper from Free Vintage Digital Stamps which I added as a layer at 80% opacity so the french script is slightly visible.I colored the dress with Pastel Yellow Promarker to add a bit of color to the vintage layout.
For some oh-la-la, I added ribbons to her shoes.
Here are the sentiments I used for the background:

Valentine Cards

The month of love is here! When February comes, I see cheery red and bright pink colors, flowers and chocolates around me. I always look forward to this month because every year, my husband never forget to give me 2 dozen of roses on Valentines Day. And each year, it would be a different color. So to get ready for that romantic day, I have to set the mood by decorating our home with just the right hint of red decors. I also made a few Valentine cards to give to friends and relatives.

Frillie Millie Candy

I found this site, Unscripted Sketches, and got curious about their Challenge # 69 -"piggyback challenge". The challenge is to use something other than the traditional paper punch/die cut for the flowers on the sketch. I think it's an optional  use of add-on element to the sketch whatever you have on hand like buttons, stones, etc.

For my card, I used different sizes of round bubble stickers that I made into lollipops. The Pink Petticoat Frillie Millie Candy was perfect for the idea I came up with. I also rolled strips of paper for the  lollipop sticks. Here's my card:

Double Celebration Card

A double celebration card is always a challenge for us cardmakers. How to incorporate two events in one invitation got my creative juices working when a former schoolmate of mine, Oyin, asked me if I could design for him an invitation for her daughter's birthday and a housewarming party for their new home in Singapore. After much thinking and sketching, I finally settled for a tri-fold card with a sort of French door aperture on the front. For the faux glass, I glued an acetate at the back of the door so one could see a view of the inside. I thought what better way to welcome guests but a door.

On the second fold, I used a Stamping Bella image holding a glass wine as the birthday girl. I also used a Pink Petticoat image of a chandelier with beads and crystal gems to give the room an elegant feel along with the comfy sofa.

On the 3rd fold or the middle fold are the details of the event. I used Pink Petticoat papers as the background for all the pages of the invitation- damask and stripes.

Thank You cards

My friend, Beck, was a victim of last year's typhoon. Her house and car was in water for about 3 days and a lot of her furnitures, photos, books and appliances got damaged. As a way of thanking those people who helped her through the unfortunate experience, she asked me to make thank you cards for them. Here are some of them:
I made this in five different colors using a stamp from Stamping Bella and Pink Petticoat animal print papers.

Here's another one I made in 2 colors using also a Stamping Bella Stamp:
Here's two of the ones I made using Pink Petticoat images and papers:
