CDAC Progressive Challenge #7-Entry 2

My second entry to the CDACPC7 is an image "Bailey with Honey Bee" from Sew Many Cards. I used a floral background paper of  DCWV from the Retro Prints Paper Stack. For the borders on the floral bp, I used Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page Cherry Blossom design and glue some yellow crystal gems for each of the floral centers.
This funny looking bee is handmade by yours truly. I just drew a sketch of the whole bee, cut it from a peach board paper and used brown promarker pen for the stripes on the body. I made the wings from a parchment paper, decorated with glitter glue and attached with PVA glue. For the antennae, I folded a V design thin brown wire and curled the sides. I attached it on the back of the bee with tape. That small googly eyes made him cute, don't you think?

Small Bear Gift-CDACPC 7 Entry 1

I bought this Sizzix Bigz Die Cups Candy a year ago and I think this makes a perfect bag for a small bear gift from Pimboli. The die template includes 2 designs for the sides and a bottom for five and six sides. I used the five bottom for my box which makes a smaller cup. Decorated each side with red board paper and red gingham paper before gluing them all together. After coloring and cutting an image "Apple" from Heart Song Designs , I attached them on each sides with foam tapes. This image is a freebie and my first entry to the Crafter's Digital Arts Center Progressive Challenge Round 7:
Here's a view of the different sides. For the handle, I cut a thin strip of red board paper and red gingham paper and attached with double-sided tape on the inside of the cup.

The Birthday sentiment is from Sending Treasures and is also a freebie for the Progressive Challenge:

CDAC Progressive Challenge #5-Entry 2

My second entry for the CDAC Progressive Challenge#5 is an image called"Cookies" by Digidrawn. I used Nestabilities Beaded Circles for the shape of my card. Camera still not working at its best.
The sentiment is from a rubber stamp set of Stampin' Up.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #5-Entry 1

My first entry for the CDAC Progressive Challenge is a freebie image called" Christmas Bunny" by Phooka. The theme for the 5th round is Festive and Fancy. I was hoping to link this the first week using cool colors but unluckily my camera wasn't working at its best.
I used Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page for my card and cut some baubbles and sentiment from a Christmas paper I have.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #4-Entry 2

My second entry to the CDAC Progressive Challenge #4 is an image from Designed2Delight called Scaredy Cat. Details and rules for the challenge can be found here
I made an easel card using Martha Stewart's Cherish Punch-Around-the-Page puncher. For the background paper, I used Pink Petticoat's Halloween digital papers. Here's my card:
I made some stitchings on the dotted holes that comes with the puncher design with black thread. I matched it with a black sheer dotted ribbon and added a spider embellishment at the center using a small circle punch.

Inside the card, I punched again some spiders from the background paper and this time I added strings for hanging web effects. I used double-sided foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is a freebie from The Crafty Nomad.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #3

It's all about women for my entries in the CDAC Progressive Challenge#3.
My first card is an Oak Fairy from Gurukitty Designs. I find the image very mysterious and I designed a card that made her blend with the leafy background. I can imagine walking into the woods full of falling leaves and looking closely, I find a lovely creature sharing the gentle breeze of the autumn air. Such a wonder to behold!
The leafy background is a freebie from Spyder's Corner which you can find here.
I think the sentiment from TlcCreations best describes the wonder and mystery of the image.
My second card is an image from Lia Stampz. I made a very simple one with embossed  background. The Texture Template is a recent purchase from a local craftstore. It's from Sizzix Texture Plates Kit #9, a total of 6 very elegant and floral embossing plates. The plate I used is called the Formal Fanfare. The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Design's Quotes on Women, a freebie from Sentimental Sundays for a limited time.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #2

It's Back to School theme for CDAC Freebie Progressive Challenge #2. The challenge details can be found here. Speaking of school, we're also having our highschool reunion this coming Saturday. Already excited to see my former classmates and batchmates. I'm handling the finance committee so I've been busy collecting and issuing funds for the event. Luckily though, I was able to make a card for the challenge. I used a Tortagialla image and made a backpack-shaped card. Here's my card:
I made a simple square tag that looks like a piece of writing paper and attached with a mini circular ring. The font I used for my sentiment is School Script Dashed.

CDAC Progressive Challenge

CDAC is having a new freebie progressive challenge. The Progressive Kick-off Challenge is only till today and I hope I could enter mine just in time. They gave away 6 wonderful images from different artists. I printed them all but managed to finish only one. Hopefully I could play with more next time. Find all the details here on how to join.
For my card, I played with the chef image and here's what I came up with:
This is the chef image which I cut and glued on a frame- a freebie from Scrapalicious Times. I can't find the exact post of the freebie. Maybe it's from her previous blog.

Printing a smaller size of the same frame, I made my own sentiment using Cutie Pop font. The program I used is Pages. I am still trying to make this one into a jpeg or png file so I can share it with you. Hopefully I will  be able to save it in a downloadable file for everyone to enjoy.
Using the same size of the smaller frame, I printed and cut a Peach Pie image from Beccy's Place. I made mine an apple pie and glued it on the frame. You can find the image here.
