Mo's Digital Challenge and FREEBIES

Hello, hello my dear friends!
I'm a bit busy for the past few days and felt really bad not posting anything. So today I'm giving you some freebies which I'm sure you can use on your card and papercraft creations.
But first I want to share these two cards I made which are perfect for your teen kids, nephews, nieces and your kid's teen friends. We all  know how our kids are into video games and computer apps these days, so these images from Mo's Digital Pencil Too stamps just caught my attention. They are "video boy" and "video girl". I'm entering one of the card in Mo's Digital Challenge #148 with a theme "Friends". I made these cards using an easel type of card. The papers are a limited time freebie from Printable Heaven.

Here's a free sentiment that I used on the cards:
Since school is opening for most of you, I'm giving you a "School Girl" freebie too. Here she is:

Enjoy your day and remember your comments inspire me.

Falloween Cat freebie at D2D

I had time to play at Delightful Inspiration Progressive Challenge this week with this very cute freebie "Falloween Cat". It's the first week of September, so everyone is welcome to get the freebie. If you want to have a collection of more adorable images, you can join the progressive challenge or visit Designed 2 Delight digital stamps.
It's preparation time again for that fun time of the year-Halloween! I am not much for the scary costumes and decors, but I love making cute Halloween cards and tags with sweet treats for my family and friends. For my card, I combined the Stitched Pumpkin image and Falloween Cat. It's a simple easel card with faux stitching on the frame to complement the stitched pumpkin.
I found some printed buttons on my stash with same color combinations of my card and decorated them with white and black nylon strings. The background paper I used is from a digital halloween paper of Pink Petticoat.
A closer look at the buttons and the nylon strings:

This is how the card looks when folded as a regular card.
The sentiment is a freebie from The Crafty Nomad Halloween Quotes.

All in the Ocean Challenge at MPS

With summer season in most parts of the world, the "All in the Ocean" Challenge this week at Michelle Perkett Studio would have one rushing to the beach and swim to the inviting splash of the sea. And when we think of ocean, I imagine the loveliest of its creatures we call "mermaids". There are lovely mermaid images available at MPS and I instantly fell in love with this one called Tutti Frutti. With all the intricate adornments on her hair and body, I can only imagine the careful selections of details Michelle Perkett has put into her designs. You can check out and purchase some of her creative works here.
For my card, I made an easel card with scallops using my Marianne Design Creatables stencil LR0112 to create the effect of Tutti Frutti inside a giant shell. Here's my finished card:
I glued some mini baby pink craft balls bought from a local craftstore on her hair and body and carefully applied just a bit of Pebeo crystal touch coloring paint on them to look like pearls. The other accessories were colored with Tria marker pens, Twinkling H20s and glitter.
I also added some transparent bubble stickers in different sizes and on the biggest one I inserted the word "Hi".

For my favorite part to embellish-the tail, I glued some very small hexagon metallic paper which I found at a bookstore. I think they were made from scraps, like the holes in doughnuts made into something else. My daughter, Athena, always wonder how I could find and use the very small of things for my craftworks. I bought this last year and I thought this would be perfect for the scales on the tail. If there is none available at your place, you can also use a very small circle puncher and metallic paper and have the same effect. See how it glows:
I have the perfect sentiment also to go with this, a freebie from Whenthescraphitsthefun:
 Have a great summer!

Flutterby Fairy

My entry for this week's Progressive Challenge at Delightful Inspirations is a floral easel card using the lovely Flutterby Fairy freebie. This and other wonderful Designed2Delight digital stamps are available  here. Using Creatables LR0112 stencils for die-cutting and embossing by Marianne Design, I made 2 floral frames. I then printed the Flutterby Fairy on a pink background and added a circular frame about the same size of the floral center. I tilted the image a little for a flying effect.
After coloring the image, I made 3 flowers as embellishments. I used the flower freebie from Bullfrogs & Butterflies file and printed it at 3 different sizes to create the layer.
Here's a clearer view of the flowers. I also made a layer of the butterfly's wings for a fluttering effect.

For the inside page of the card, I also made a circular frame and made a border of the flower freebies. To make the easel card stand, I glued a butterfly embellishment. The sentiment is a freebie from TlcCreations.
Materials used:
Creatables stencil & embossing die by Marianne Design
Board paper-Chocolate brown
Promarker pens: Ruby,Coral,Blossom, Spice, Pastel Pink
Tria Markers: O528, R424
Butterfly bead

Garden Party freebie

This week's freebie for the Progressive challenge at Delightful Inspiration is a cute Garden Party image. It's one of the many wonderful images at Designed2Delight digital stamps. For my design, I chose bright red with bit of yellow and green for the color theme. I decoupaged the flowers for dimension. I also paper punched an open gate to both sides of the image as some sort of welcome to the garden party.
Here's the finished card:
My daughter Athena, just loved my coloring technique on the flowers. I'm surprised because she's not much into floral prints and design. I'm so glad she liked it. And aren't these two mice and bug cute? I bet they couldn't wait to eat that yummy cupcake.

To also set the mood for the garden party, I paper-pieced this banner, a freebie from Lindsay Stamp Stuff, as decor with the word CELEBRATE.

I also made this card using the Garden Party image and Ladybug Kaela with the hat. I found this really great sentiment from TlcCreations which is so perfect for Ladybug Kaela.

Delightful Inspiration Challenge

Finally I'll be able to join a Progressive Challenge at Delightful Inspiration! This week's freebie is a lovely Spotty Dotty Watering Can by Designed 2 Delight digital stamps. Everyone who plays win a digital stamp. How cool is that! I recently purchased some of their digital stamps particularly Kaela and Drew sets and I really love them! And because I'm so excited to use them, for my entry this week, I combined the freebie watering can and Ladybug Kaela. I think they are perfect pair for the easel card design I had in mind. Here's my D2D easel card:

I have another card which was the first one I did but mistakenly glued the background design. I planned it as an easel card but due to my mistake I just made it a regular card. Here's another version:
