Crazy for Aprons, Free Sentiments & Freebie Links!!!

I was browsing through some of my craft magazines and I came across Papercraft Inspirations Issue 96 which featured ideas for apron cards. Got me inspired so I made some Hobby Apron Cards. You can download the Apron template here. From the template, I made mine a little different, instead of the Side Fold, I made mine Top Fold. Written also some faux stitchings on the pocket.
Due to my limited time, I'll be posting one apron per post including the links and a free sentiment. Here's the first one:

Exciting news,a card by Jacki & Freebie!!!

I am feeling excited this week! Apparently a commercial director got hold of my card made for a friend and he liked my drawings particularly this one. He requested for us to meet up and he wants me to do some storyboard sketches for a commercial he's directing. A storyboard sketch is a sequence drawings of scene by scene of how a director wants the character or objects to act or be shown in a movie, comic animation or in this case, a commercial. One doesn't have to be a professional artist to be a storyboard illustrator because some director requires only rough black and white or pencil drawings. It could also be a full time or part time job. I'm still thinking about the proposal because I don't have any experience yet for this kind of work and I don't know if I could dedicate the amount of time for the job. Sometimes, according to him he would require 20 drawings for a day. But this is a one time opportunity for me. Mixed feelings but I think I'll give it a try?
About my digis, here's one talented crafter who made a card using my Doll freebie! Yehey!!! She's Jacki and she made a very pretty monochromatic card using denims and laces. I love her use of the different shades of blue for this one. You can check out more about her card here

I also have another freebie for you called Rose. She's available for download until August 31, 2012. Hope you like her.

Mo's Digital Challenge and FREEBIES

Hello, hello my dear friends!
I'm a bit busy for the past few days and felt really bad not posting anything. So today I'm giving you some freebies which I'm sure you can use on your card and papercraft creations.
But first I want to share these two cards I made which are perfect for your teen kids, nephews, nieces and your kid's teen friends. We all  know how our kids are into video games and computer apps these days, so these images from Mo's Digital Pencil Too stamps just caught my attention. They are "video boy" and "video girl". I'm entering one of the card in Mo's Digital Challenge #148 with a theme "Friends". I made these cards using an easel type of card. The papers are a limited time freebie from Printable Heaven.

Here's a free sentiment that I used on the cards:
Since school is opening for most of you, I'm giving you a "School Girl" freebie too. Here she is:

Saturated Canary Challenge & Free Sentiment

Finally, my husband got the go signal from his doctor to go home last Saturday night! Thank you so much for all you sweet bloggers who sent prayers and wishes for his quick recovery. :)
And now that I'm home, I have some crafty projects I wanna make. First on the list, is a card just in time for Saturated Canary Challenge#21 which is "Bling It Out". It's my first time to join the challenge and a very glam girl "Fancy" was given as freebie.
Love the big ribbon on her hair so I think this ribbon frame is just perfect. The frame is a freebie from Lindsay Stamp Stuff at My Grafico. The rose paper is a digital freebie and I have it on my file for quite a while but I wasn't able to include the artist. Sorry, I was very new to blogging at that time and didn't know I have to get the references for the freebies. Anyway, here's my card:
Here's  a closer look at Fancy with the glitz and the glam all red carpet-ready.Filled her upper bodice with mini swarovski-like gems. A few were also attached on her hair. Does she looks expensive or what?
 The inside of the card:
And here's your free sentiment:
My big hugs to all,

Girl Charm Freebie!!!

I am over my 100 posts, so I guess it's time for another image freebie! Tried doodling a little girl this time with my sweet little girl Charm (well, 6 years ago that is, she's 18 now) as my inspiration. Her name is Athena Charmaine, so I nicknamed her Charm. But now that she's 18, her friends call her Athena. She'll be available until July 15, 2012.
Sorry Girl Charm has expired. Please visit again for another freebie I'm working on.

If you make a project using any of my free images, please email me at cleahvalero@yahoo.com so I could proudly post them on my blog.

SSD's Carrie Sassy and Free Sentiments

It's the 4th and Final Round of the Sassy in the City Relay celebrating the 700 members at Paper Craft Planet-Sassy Studio Designs! And the 4th image is none other than the high fashionista Carrie Sassy! Love that volume of gorgeous curls! The theme for this challenge is to create a project with a New York or Paris inspiration-the 2 cities where Carrie has lived.
I chose a Paris-themed card for Carrie. The French script background paper and the rose designed paper -pieced dress I used are from the Perfect Papers set of Pink Petticoat. The second background paper on top of the french script is a French Shabby paper from Free Vintage Digital Stamps which I added as a layer at 80% opacity so the french script is slightly visible.I colored the dress with Pastel Yellow Promarker to add a bit of color to the vintage layout.
For some oh-la-la, I added ribbons to her shoes.
Here are the sentiments I used for the background:

Cleah
