Make Your Own Paper at Michelle Perkett

This week's challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio is a bit different. It's "Make Your Own Pattern Paper" challenge. It's the first time I'll play for the group and I've been wanting to make a card for the lovely freebie I received last Mother's Day-the Rose Stamp. If you don't have this one yet, go over to Papercraft Planet, join the group or you can get it here. The challenge will run from May 24-30, 2011.
From the Rose stamp freebie, I picked the four roses from the lady's dress and head accessory as the design for the pattern paper. To do this, a little know-how on digital techniques will be useful. You can use Adobe Photoshop or other similar application. I copied the roses repeatedly until I filled up one sheet of paper. I printed it on a cream board paper for a colored background. I then colored each roses and leaves with Promarker pens. Here's the finished pattern paper:
I also put some glitter glue on the roses for a bit of sparkle.

I paper-pieced the dress of the Rose stamp, colored the rest of the image and cut. I then die-cut 2 pieces of petite scalloped oval frames from Spellbinders and glued the image. For embellishments, I paper-punched 3 green flowers and used them as leaves for the mini fabric roses.
The sentiment is a freebie from TlcCreations. I glued a pink crystal gem on the letter o to emphasize the word "crown".

Here's my finished card:
