SSD's Miranda Sassy and Free Sentiment #4

It's the 3rd Round of Sassy in the City Relay featuring Miranda Sassy! A very easy challenge for this round-No Nonsense. We have to make a project that is Clean and Simple (CAS). Hmmm, I never knew what that means until now. Still learning each day.
So for my card, I made a single layer, no DP (Designer Paper) background card. Using a very light cream board paper, I printed the image with just a black outline around the card and a sentiment I made. I paper-pieced the dress and shoes with an oatmeal colored leopard print from Pink Petticoat. The belt was colored with a gold metallic paint.

SSD's Samantha Sassy and Free Sentiment#3

It's Round 2 of Sassy in the City Relay for the celebration of more than 700 members at Paper Craft Planet-Sassy Studio Designs! And the prize for those who were able to send an entry on the 1st round? It's Samantha Sassy, a real classy lady! The challenge for Round 2  is "Blingity Bling Bling", that is, to create a project using blings. The more bling, the better!

I want to enter also my card at The Crazy Challenge #123-A Sketch. Here's the sketch:

Here's my card using the wonderful sketch and embellishing with pearlized star beads, crystal gems and tiny pearls. Love also the black organza flowers I used here which I found at an accessory store that sells materials for gowns, masks and hair ornaments. The salmon colored rose is handmade.

Here's a closer look at the classy Samantha dressed in lace and holding a long pipe. When I got this image, I immediately thought of Audrey Hepburn so I went googling for a long pipe image. And I think this one is just perfect. I love lace (which obviously you've seen in most of my free images) so I paper-pieced one for Samantha. Noticed the laced pair of pumps too? The earrings and bracelet were embellished with crystal gems to look like diamonds.

 

The sentiment is my own which I am sharing to you today. I placed a bubble sticker star and embellished it with crystal gems.

Lil Pinkette August

A sweet day everyone!
Yeah I'm feeling sweet today because I made a card for this week's Cupcake Craft Challenge#197 . The challenge is " Something in the Eyelet" or to take out our stash of eyelets and use them on a card.

When I think sweet, I see pink, so I made a Stepper card using the color as my theme. I used the pretty girl "Lil Pinkette August" available at Tickled Pink Stamps. The fabulous designer paper is a November freebie from Bearly Mine Designs (lots of wonderful freebies there!!!).

I just love Lil Pinkette with that huge earphones! Is that Skull Candy? She's an epitome of girls her age who just loves music. 

The cute mini record disks on the front of the card were made by paper piecing the same designer paper but in smaller prints before I attached the pink eyelets in the middle. They were aligned with a cord-like strings and two black sequins. I punched some small music notes for additional embellishments.

One of the options to earn points for the giveaway is to create a project using any of their images and then email it. So today, I made a card using the freebie Isabelle's Sewing Box image. The lovely coordinating background papers I used is a freebie from Jak Heath's Spring Floral set.

The button-like embellishments were made using a 3/4"circle puncher and attaching with foam dots. I brush the top with clear nail polish to give them a little shine.

As promised, I am sharing with you today my "Spy Lady" inspired by the movie "The Avengers". I made her hair straight and longer though, rather than short and curled like Scarlett. Don't you just love her toned butt?  lol.
